ADVISING

Planning for Your Spring Semester

In Tier and course supports, you’ll review your AR and CR grades, attendance, tardies, and current Tier standing. 2nd/3rd/4th years (not in tier 3) will have a one-on-one meeting with Ms. Wozny. 1st years and first-year 2nd years you will do this in Tier 1.

Come Prepared With a Plan

  • Know where you stand. Check your AR and CR grades, attendance, and tardies.

  • Know what Tier you are working toward.

  • If you need to improve something, have a plan for how you are going to do it.

  • If you qualify for CR classes, and aren’t already signed up, think about what you want to take in spring and next year.

  • Have a backup plan. Registering for a CR class does not guarantee CR eligibility or Tier placement.

  • AR classes cannot be switched. Changes may only be possible in course support if space allows.

Spring Tier Placement

Your spring Tier is based on how you finish this semester. Grades, attendance/tardies, responsibility, communication, and independence all matter.

1st Years: Remain in Tier 1

2nd Years: Remain in Tier 2A.

3rd Years:

Tier 2A → May move to Tier 2B if requirements are met.
Tier 2B → May remain in 2B if requirements continue to be met.

4th Years:
Tier 2A → May move to Tier 2B if requirements are met.
Tier 2B → May move to Tier 3 if all Tier 3 requirements are met.
Tier 3 → Must continue meeting Tier 3 requirements to remain there.

Your Tier can change based on how you finish the semester.
