Please submit announcements to AR Administrative Assistant Regina Salmon at rsalmon@fuhsdistrict.net by noon the school day before it is to run. Before submission, club announcements must be approved by advisors. Always “cc” your club advisor when submitting a Daily Announcement for your club.

Community Meeting: Our first community meeting of the year will be on September 15th! You can sign up to present with this link. All you have to do is come up with an idea and get an advisor. Shout out a club, talk about an event, play a game, play a song or something else. This meeting we would like to emphasise the clubs that are starting up and get the word out. You can sign up until the 11th or until it fills up. The quicker you sign up the better! We can't wait to see you there.
True North Community Action: On Thursday, September 10, immigrant families, faith and community leaders, educators, and local law enforcement will come together to talk about how we can better protect and support families in Humboldt County. Community members will share their experiences and what we have learned through our research, and local leaders will be asked to make concrete commitments to strengthen protections for all families.
This is an important opportunity for our community to come together. If you’re able to attend, please join us. Your presence matters.

CLUBS
STEM Club: Hello AR! During lunch on Friday in SC104, we will be testing more demos. We are going to be making mini-rockets out of matchsticks and aluminum foil. The foil allows heat to build up in the rocket which eventually causes the rocket to go flying. We have room for a few more volunteers to perform demos, but we have lots of room for non-performing volunteers. Thank you and stay curious! WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE: PAC Club has officially started our Winter Clothing Drive, running from now until September 30th!
Bring in your gently used winter clothing to your class’s assigned bin in the office. But remember—this is a competition! The winning class will receive pizza provided by PAC Club.

Humboldt Transit Authority schedules are available at https://hta.org. The AR Office sells monthly bus passes from Humboldt Transit Authority at a discounted rate for students.
Bus rides are free until August 31st.
