Academy of the Redwoods

Are You Interested In Returning To On-Campus Learning? We would like to encourage all students, especially those who are struggling academically, to return to on-campus learning. Breakfast and lunch are available free to all students daily.  If you would like to arrange one or more on-campus learning days per week, please email Academic Counselor, Brooke Martin at bmartin@fuhsdistrict.net. We continue to require morning health screenings, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing/sanitizing. With our physical distancing requirements, we can accommodate all students for two days per week with some exceptions. For questions related to COVID mitigations or other campus concerns, please contact Program Director, Ali Hodges by calling the AR Office, 707-476-4203.

September Student of the Month: Alicia Giaimo

September Student of the Month: Alicia Giaimo
Alicia is the daughter of Glenn and Gail Giaimo. In her free time she likes to go hiking, work on artistic projects, and spend time with family and friends. After graduation, Alicia plans to continue her general education at HSU, then transfer to another college and major in digital media/graphic design and minor in technology, marketing, or business. After college, she’d like to explore being an entrepreneur and starting her own business. Of her experience at AR, Alicia says, “It has been really inspirational! My first year was the hardest, but I wouldn't change it for anything because at the end of the year an AR student became my closest, most loyal friend. My goal at AR has not been to get my general education by the time I graduate, but rather to take fewer CR classes and really master them.” Alicia will graduate AR with 26 college units.
