Academy of the Redwoods

Are You Interested In Returning To On-Campus Learning? We would like to encourage all students, especially those who are struggling academically, to return to on-campus learning. Breakfast and lunch are available free to all students daily.  If you would like to arrange one or more on-campus learning days per week, please email Academic Counselor, Brooke Martin at bmartin@fuhsdistrict.net. We continue to require morning health screenings, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing/sanitizing. With our physical distancing requirements, we can accommodate all students for two days per week with some exceptions. For questions related to COVID mitigations or other campus concerns, please contact Program Director, Ali Hodges by calling the AR Office, 707-476-4203.

March 2018 Student of the Month: Jonathan Archibold

Jonathan is the son of Stephen and Shanna Archibold. In his free time, he enjoys blacksmithing, drawing, building with Legos, watching movies, and giving hugs. He is a Humboldt County 4-H Ambassador and Treasurer of Miranda 4-H Club, Jonathan plans on going to either UC Davis to study engineering or Cal Arts to study film. He wants to make things that make people happy and bring joy, as well as to continue blacksmithing. Of his experience at AR, Jonathan says, “I have made friends with the students and the staff during my  years here. Between being a photographer for Yearbook, being Teacher’s Assistant for PE class, and serving on the Dance Committee, this is my most active year. Going to AR has been a wonderful experience that I will never forget.” Jonathan has earned 26 college units so far.
