Academy of the Redwoods

Are You Interested In Returning To On-Campus Learning? We would like to encourage all students, especially those who are struggling academically, to return to on-campus learning. Breakfast and lunch are available free to all students daily.  If you would like to arrange one or more on-campus learning days per week, please email Academic Counselor, Brooke Martin at bmartin@fuhsdistrict.net. We continue to require morning health screenings, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing/sanitizing. With our physical distancing requirements, we can accommodate all students for two days per week with some exceptions. For questions related to COVID mitigations or other campus concerns, please contact Program Director, Ali Hodges by calling the AR Office, 707-476-4203.

December Student of the Month: Mason Short

Mason is the son of David and Gina Short. In his free time, Mason enjoys working as a busser at the Ivanhoe in Ferndale as well as hanging out with his friends. Mason plans on attending UC Davis where he will double major in genetics and animal science. After college, he hopes to become a geneticist and eventually own a pet store. Of his experience at AR, Mason says, “It has been great. I’ve made many friends and met many people who have helped me become the person I am today. I have enjoyed the opportunity to attend high school on a college campus.” At the end of the Fall 2016 semester, Mason will have earned 57 college units, and will graduate with an Associate Degree in Humanities in the spring.
