Academy of the Redwoods

Are You Interested In Returning To On-Campus Learning? We would like to encourage all students, especially those who are struggling academically, to return to on-campus learning. Breakfast and lunch are available free to all students daily.  If you would like to arrange one or more on-campus learning days per week, please email Academic Counselor, Brooke Martin at bmartin@fuhsdistrict.net. We continue to require morning health screenings, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing/sanitizing. With our physical distancing requirements, we can accommodate all students for two days per week with some exceptions. For questions related to COVID mitigations or other campus concerns, please contact Program Director, Ali Hodges by calling the AR Office, 707-476-4203.

March Student of the Month: Cheng Yee Vang

March 2020 Student of the Month: Cheng Yee Vang

Cheng Yee is the daughter of Chia and Koua Vang. During her free time, Cheng Yee likes to spend time with her family, take trips to the beach, listen to music, and make future plans. Cheng Yee would like to attend UC Irvine, where she plans to major in Civil Engineering. After college, she hopes to have a great paying job as a Structural Engineer. Cheng Yee says, “My experience at AR has been wonderful. As a minority at AR, I’ve never been afraid to open up about any of my troubles to the staff and the community. Being at AR, I have learned how to be independent, persistent, a problem solver, and more. With all of these new attributes, I know that I am headed straight for success.” Cheng Yee has earned 36 college units.
