Academy of the Redwoods

Are You Interested In Returning To On-Campus Learning? We would like to encourage all students, especially those who are struggling academically, to return to on-campus learning. Breakfast and lunch are available free to all students daily.  If you would like to arrange one or more on-campus learning days per week, please email Academic Counselor, Brooke Martin at bmartin@fuhsdistrict.net. We continue to require morning health screenings, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing/sanitizing. With our physical distancing requirements, we can accommodate all students for two days per week with some exceptions. For questions related to COVID mitigations or other campus concerns, please contact Program Director, Ali Hodges by calling the AR Office, 707-476-4203.

November 2019 Student of the Month: Taylor Towns

Taylor is the daughter of John Towns and Chandi Thomas, and step-mom Melissa Mayberry. In her free time, Taylor likes to practice makeup, hang out with friends, teach gymnastics to little kids and watch her favorite Netflix shows. After high school, Taylor plans to attend a 4 year university in California, where she will major in Biology and minor in African American studies if possible. She hopes to continue on into the medical field and maybe become a dermatologist. Of her experience at AR, Taylor says, “I’ve met so many people and have earned so many opportunities that I couldn’t get anywhere else. AR is one of its own kind!” Taylor will graduate with 61 college units.
