Academy of the Redwoods

Are You Interested In Returning To On-Campus Learning? We would like to encourage all students, especially those who are struggling academically, to return to on-campus learning. Breakfast and lunch are available free to all students daily.  If you would like to arrange one or more on-campus learning days per week, please email Academic Counselor, Brooke Martin at bmartin@fuhsdistrict.net. We continue to require morning health screenings, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing/sanitizing. With our physical distancing requirements, we can accommodate all students for two days per week with some exceptions. For questions related to COVID mitigations or other campus concerns, please contact Program Director, Ali Hodges by calling the AR Office, 707-476-4203.

June Student of the Month: Henna Schulz

Henna is the daughter of Stuart Schulz and Adrienne Tindal-Schulz. In her free time, Henna loves to spend time with her dogs and her family. After high school, Henna will be attending CSU East Bay where she will major in Nursing, specifically in OB/GYN. After college, she hopes to work down south for some time and then bring her knowledge back to Humboldt County. Of her experience at AR, Henna says, “I’ve had the freedom to do what I want and have it benefit my future career and self. I’m most appreciative for the friendships I have made and seeing how valuable the staff and student connection is and how it helped me become who I am now. Henna graduated with 39 college units.
