Academy of the Redwoods

Are You Interested In Returning To On-Campus Learning? We would like to encourage all students, especially those who are struggling academically, to return to on-campus learning. Breakfast and lunch are available free to all students daily.  If you would like to arrange one or more on-campus learning days per week, please email Academic Counselor, Brooke Martin at bmartin@fuhsdistrict.net. We continue to require morning health screenings, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing/sanitizing. With our physical distancing requirements, we can accommodate all students for two days per week with some exceptions. For questions related to COVID mitigations or other campus concerns, please contact Program Director, Ali Hodges by calling the AR Office, 707-476-4203.

March Student of the Month: Alexandra Pena

March 2019 Student of the Month: Alexandra Pena

Alexandra is the daughter of Rosa Pimentel. In her free time, Alex enjoys giving back to her community through Teen Court, REBAR, her church, and the California Association of Youth Courts board. She also enjoys spending time with her family. Alex plans to attend a 4 year university in either the Bay Area or Southern California where she will major in philosophy. After college, Alex hopes to fulfill her dream of becoming a lawyer, helping underrepresented people, and maybe even becoming a judge or working for the FBI later on in her career. Alex says, “AR taught me that challenges help you become a stronger person, and having people who care about you makes everything better. It has given me a family outside of my own and opportunities that I wouldn’t have had if I had gone to a different school.” Alex will graduate with 39 college units.
